Went to goodwill yesterday, and found one of those $4 stacks of CDRs- (as well as a portable DVD player and some DVDRs)- decided to nab it. Turns out, it was maybe only 3 or 4 blanks... but they apparently kept their WHOLE CD COLLECTION IN THERE. So yeah. I'm rippin'.
Lots of 90s and 00s rap, some other stuff like Metallica, Led Zeppelin... something around 40-50 CDs in total. There was also one of those Napster Weird Al bootlegs where it says "20+ Weird Al songs" on the front, but maybe 5-6 of them are real- the rest are just assorted parodies by other people (mostly unknowns). I guess I know more about Weird Al than most people, but there really is a difference between "Smells Like Nirvana", "You're Pitiful", and "50 Ways To Kill Suddam". Just a minor difference, really...
Also got a bigass stereo for $8. Shoulda mentioned that earlier, but...

For reference, this is the OLD stereo. Pretty handsome, right? But the left speaker didn't work! BASTARDS! At least the antenna works, so I could get my NPR in mono.

THIS is the bigass new one. (Ghost In The Machine not included with purchase) This stereo looks like a castle! I could LIVE in it(if I was small). Look at the spires on the sides, the plethora of buttons... it kills people. Unfortunately, I'm people... I gotta watch my back!

Here's a top-down view of the CDs. (Right is the ones I'm done with, left is what I have yet to rip. The clock tells 11:29, but that's not true! It's 11:46! Because I'm bad at uploading images! Damn clocks...

In 2009, this was probably the best way to rip CDs. It still is, but now iTunes wants to update into a poorly-made husk of itself. But I deleted the updater! I'm sneaky like that.
So yeah, I've been ripping CDs for a few hours now. And I have a feeling I'll be stuck here... held mercilessly, forced to read your comments, thoughts, and opinions! What a CRUEL FATE!
