the relation of aesthetics to religion

recently i was discussing with friend how i cannot make myself hate certain religions due to the art they have produced. As i was thinking about that after wards i realised how interconnected they both are. the oxford handbook of religion and art says "It can refer to a number of overlapping subjects, including art, symbol, feeling, beauty, taste, imagination, and perception. A theological or religious aesthetics considers any of these topics in the light of God, revelation, and the sacred. The contemporary world has seen a renewal of interest in religious aesthetics. "

how we view religion isnt a one dimnesional hence the study of religion; theology. theological aesthetics are defined as being concerned with questions about God in relation to art, beauty and sense i.e feeling, sensation & imagination.

i would like to research more on this one day but i am really sleepy right now :3
