I'm pretty keen on using the Brave browser, which has Tor tabs built in, if you want to use it. I

Yeah... use TOR to upload those pictures of you and your family to Facebook.. that'll show them.. lol.. sorry, my sarcastic mind can be an asshole sometimes.
Hell no, no other forms of social media for me. I also use a flip phone.

isn't there a problem going around with fake nodes being set up by those very people to monitor the trafic?
Also there's plenty of hobbyist-made browsers that are about as likely to track your data as the above happening if not less.
I use Tor because my best friend (who unfortanely passed away) safely and securely browsed the internet well before Edward Snowden made his recommendation to use this browser.

It's all good. It's a damn shame. He died in 2015 before bitcoin blew up. He was mining them back in 2012 when you were able to do that on your laptop. I just always trusted him because he was fucking right about everything.
