Prom!! (as the socially awkward, weird kid)

As much as I thought prom was going to be scary, I actually had a great time!

Now, this wasn't my prom, I went with my cousin as a +1, so I really didnt know anybody other than his friends. I was worried that people would have some kind of problem with me being there cause I'm from the other side of town or something stupid like that, but everyone was genuinly so nice. Lots of people complemented me (mostly my hair, not pictured below, but its almost the extat same as my pfp, just flatter & straightended because im EMOOOO XD), and when they did they apologized for not knowing me. (because obviously they don't) Other than that, I pretty much kept to the little group I was in, but it wasn't awful. We yapped about Pokemon, Percy Jackson, MCR, and a buch of other weird nerdy stuff all night! (and when one of us needed a break from the crazy loud hall, everyone was super chill with it. 

The music was sub-par, just like the food, but we still ended up on the dance floor. At one point they started playing Pink Pony Club, but this was during the start of the icecream bar, so we had to RUN back into the hall to hit our little jigs. 

I was EQUIPPED with my digital camera ALLLLLL night, taking videos pracially every other song, and dozens of really ugly photos of the people I was hanging out with. After going through them I ended up with a good 15 clips and 10 photos, and that made me super happy. Cause honestly homevideoing has slowly become my thing this past year XD

I absolutly loved my outfit. I was going for some kind of mix of show and book Crowley (Good Omens), 2004 Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance), and Kerian Valentine (Monster High). My favorite part of it was the fact that I made my vest from scratch myself. As a kid I had a dream of making my prom outfit myself. I used to spend HOURS filling up scrap paper with diffent designs of extravagant outfits, and even if my outfit wasn't EXACTLY what little me wanted, that kid's dream still technically still partialy came true. 

It was a really nice night, and if you're reading this in some kind of debate on weather you should go to yours, because you too are a weird kid worried about it being too loud, or people thinking you are dressed weird, or just not fitting in. You're not alone. Go! It's a night you will rember for ever. (just make sure you accommodate yourself if you need too!)
