People who judge music taste low key piss me off

Look, I get it everyone has different music preferences. but some people have the AUDACITY to judge others music tastes. And Honestly this pisses me off fr.

some people are like "yo if you listen to rock, your goated," or " if you listen to ____ your valid," and me who mostly likes hip-hop and rap im getting called "oh, such a basic taste" or "nah shit aint real music." Wtf bro, judging music is like judging someone's joy. If someone likes this genre or this artist, let them. if you like to scream the lyrics of Linkin park, do it. Everyone has a diffrent style of music taste. When you hear someone loves an artist you don't like, instead of rolling your eyes and shaming them, maybe take a moment to reconsider. and if you don't like it its ok, be like "yeah this aint for me, i respect it tho." Music let us feel emotions or an escape of reality. 

Also there people calling your favorite songs "mainstream music" as if enjoying popular songs would make you less of a music fan. Some people think that if there's a popular song or artist, it must be shallow, predictable, and not creative. But there is a reason why these songs are good to other people. Music doesn’t need to be that obscure or too experimental. sometimes a simple melody just hits. Some people like listening to indie music, while others like to listen to top 35 bangers, or some just like to listen to both. there is no moral advantage to listening to underground artists just as there’s no shame in liking to the latest hits. Loving what you love should not even have the need to be defending it.

so if someone wants to listen to overplayed songs, just let them.
