HOLY SHIT
THERE WAS A TORNADO YESTERDAY!!! I get that this might not be like a surprising occurrence but like I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN IN NEW JERSEY!?! Like jack shit happens here >:(
I was in school when it happened- It seemed like just a storm until it started getting worse and worse. But no one heard it because I was in band class playing music and shit. But then ppls phones went off for tornado warnings! Everyone reasonably panicked since tornadoes never happen here!
My band teacher (Bless her soul) told us not to panic and we kept playing music until we got ANOTHER warning saying get to shelter NOW. And we fucking freaked out. We stopped playing and everyone started panicking. One kid who went to the bathroom said that the vice principal was collecting people in the auditorium but we didn't go until a while later.
A shelter in place was happening because water was LEAKING THROUGH THE WINDOWS. Prolly cuz the hail cracked some of them. We went to the auditorium and some people were genuinely crying.
This one big tough kid was literally crying the hardest. Some girl was PRAYING. We thought we were gonna die!! One girl was doing her math homework until some guy came up and smacked it out her hands saying "FUCK THE MATH HOMEWORK WE'RE GONNA DIE."
We stayed in the auditorium for a while. Ppl in the gyms were told to stay there. Ppl too far from the auditorium had to stay where they were or in the library. This went on for quite a while until the storms and tornado finally fucking ended.
It was near the end of the school day so instead of doing work, we just hung out and recovered from what the shit just happened.
It was SO SUNNY afterwards too like nothing ever happened! But later that night another storm rolled around scaring the shit outta me!!
I hate storms! I hate them so much!!!!! What the hell?!

Tornado Alley's crept Eastward so much in the last decade that you might as well bite the bullet and build that bunker - which is what I'm doing. Building a big fucking bunker from a damn camper and as much concrete as I fucking can. I'm right where the rubber meets the road. We never had storms like these and now it's par for the course every fucking year - Spring was tornado season way back when, now no one's safe and no time of year is safe. Act accordingly, best of luck. Hope you got a basement and a roof that wasn't built by mexicans.
Good god- I have a pretty good basement and a roof that's survived longer than i've been alive. I've always worried about tornadoes, and no one's ever considered why I've worried! But after that whole situation I'm starting to hear more and more about these horrible storms- :(
