5/17/25 - First Post

5-17-25 - Whew! Finally got my profile all set up. Still a bittt of a work-in-progress, but it’ll do.

Anyhow! It’s my first day on this new platform. Already a fan of its unlimited customization (sorely missed in the modern internet…) and honestly, the mobile app is just charming. I <3 round buttons

So, my intention for this profile is to treat it like a true “blog”. I wanna just use it to jot down my thoughts for the day, because as much as I love my physical journaling, I don’t always carry that thing with me! And typing is just faster for me. You’ll basically just get my random thoughts about whatever; for those in my music circles, I’ll probably be less “cautious” of discussing upcoming work and stuff, so spoilers! for Ima music hehe

I feel like today balanced out to be a pretty alright day. For those out of the loop (all of you) I just returned from FWA, or Furry Weekend Atlanta, a few days back, and MAN was that the time of my life. So to be slammed back to reality… Well, it was a bit jarring! 

Some stuff went down in my local scene, too. Someone I used to basically treat as my manager ended up hitting his girlfriend on camera, so! We really don’t stand for that here! Needless to say, he’s been shunned from many a space now. Good riddance. 

But in the midst of that, my friend wrote a song about his frustration with the city as a whole, and I decided to hop on for a verse. (I don’t typically “rap”, but it felt right for the narrative, so to speak.) So, making music with buddies is always a treat. Probably won’t go anywhere, but cool it exists. Love a captured moment

Then there was all the shit with the AI Darth Vader Fortnite… I don’t even know how to talk about that really, but yeah I think reviving a dead man’s voice to spit out brainrot and slurs was. a choice that Epic Games made! And sure, he lent his voice to be used for stuff like this, but that’s not even getting into the environmental costs… Don’t get me started. Also, Jar Jar and Darth Jar Jar should NOT be sold separately and be as expensive as they are. God, love Fortnite but they’re really up to some shit this season…

In other news. Today’s been a rough one motivation wise… I still gotta do my laundry. It *is* down and up 6 flights of stairs each time I need to put stuff in the washer and dryer. Which like. Is NOT the worst! But I just haven’t worked up the energy to do it. Post con depression’s still a bitch… 

BUT! I’ve been keeping in contact with the people I met there. Chatting up a storm. One lives fairly close which is nice :) They invited me to something tomorrow but I couldn’t go because it was 21+… Shame, cause I totally would’ve made the drive, too… Would’ve been risky, though. I got work early on Sunday, and the event would’ve ran late. Wouldn’t be the first time I pushed my sleep schedule like that, though. Just definitely need to get outside of the bubble of influence that is the city I live in because it can feel intoxicating at times

Lotta Foxy thoughts today, too. But I’ll save those for a future post. Got to talk with my other therian friend post con too which was a nice little chat. Identity is so interesting
