just been thinking of the epic of gilgamesh a lot lately

  ancient text are so imterstimg bacuse they were able to surrvive on marit alone. Someone though that this story was so good or intersting or important that they kept it alive. They told it to they children and their childrent told it to theirs. it is unkown how much it had changed from its first telling; probable a lot only keeping its most imporant parts. eventally it was written in a book, how improbable it that? This one single stoery was kept over all others. what they strucutre can tell us about the people who came up with it is mass. How they though about heros and villams and redemption.
