the Lightning Girls; the lame band that rejected the only bassist in our grade (aka me)

there's a band called the Lightning Girls that's in my school that I have a seeping rage for.

funny thing is, most of the girls in the band are my friends :(

last month, I actually wanted to join them. Im a bassist and I thought joining a band would enhance my skills further

but when I went up to them, they told me they have 'too many members'???

now normally, this would be a reasonable decline, but I have an issue with the fact that they're saying this, THIS is their band setup;

2 pianist's

5 singers (???)

3 songwriters who have only made ONE song called "sick of summer" ( the song is really shitty)

tf????

and all the singers have NO experience at all in singing??? all of them have really bad voices

and one of them even told me that they don't need me and can ask one of their members to learn bass :( that hit me like a stab right in the heart wallah im not joking when I say a pang in my heart akes when I think about it :(

and the same girl told us she might consider me joining the a few hours after!!!

it was REALLY rude. im a self taught bassist who also takes weekly lessons at the mall, took me forever to actually get good at bass (￢_￢;)

im the only bassist in this grade, if they don't want me ,who has had experience in singing, songwriting, AND bass, they can stick with 2 arrogant pianists 3 crappy unproductive songwriters, and 5 singers who can't sing.

the only kinds of musicians in the school are pianists, so its pretty clear that they need me...

...but I don't need THEM!!!

i'm gonna practice bass by myself, 30% chance I might start a band, or not, idk

besides, I don't want to play in a band that has a name that sounds like it came straight out of a kids high school musical

any tips on becoming the best of the best at bass? I wanna teach those assholes a lesson >:(
