Ciao ciao!!

The Yellow Wallpaper is a super short story. It's like gothic feminist literature and it's also got elements of psychological horror. I had to read this as an assignment for school and I really liked it. It's also a criticism for society at the time (late 1800's America) and it's views on approaching a woman's mental state.

If you want a book that will make you think, or even tear u a bit i'd definitely recommend Heroes (1998) by Robert Cormier, I had to read it for school and it was one of the only books i actually enjoyed. Its centered around Francis Cassavant, he just came back from the secound world war to his childhood town to take revenge on someone. It tells us why he wants to take revenge in flashbacks of his childhood leading up to the war. The open ending left me thinking about it for days. Also there are definitely some warnings about some of the scenes you should read before it if you do plan to read it. My teacher didn't do this and some people in my class cried and had to leave. Anyways 10/10 book!

My favorite book is Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop, but I also really enjoy the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.

Dieselpunk: An Anthology by Craig Gabrysch
I return to that book once or twice a year. If you're into alternative history or speculative fiction, dieselpunk is a fun subgenre/subculture to investigate. Think steampunk but dirtier and grittier and less idealistic.
