I wrote an update post for my website. I liked the end result enough to post it here too:
Biiiggg plans. Big plans for a new, more grand about me. The tone of this site has changed alot since I made it. In Melon's Web Manifesto he says alot of things that I took to heart, alot of things that helped my blazing bonfire of short-lived motivation turn into a small, consistent flame of passion. I'm going to quote a few here. "Perfection is a flaw, consistency is a limitation and professionalism is a disaster. Everything should be an adventure and adventures start where the cracks in normality begin.", "You never really own a site, they grow and change by their nature. As a webmaster, your job is to tend the site, you must never kill it or force it to be something it doesn't want to be.", "All the best things start as jokes and anything worth saying is worth taking a long time to say.". Hell, even this update was initially going to be a short, ominous tease of a big revamp of one of the pages, but then I was like "let's just cut the bullshit and say what it is", and then I rambled about why the tone of the about me has changed and now I'm here telling you how we got here - worried that this is too long for an update and too short for a blog post... Goodnight folks. -Koen 5/15/25
