Hi everyone!
I am asexual and I am wondering why sex is so taboo?
Today I was discussing with my parents the manga I was reading (coyote by Kohta Hirano if anyone is interested) and when I mentioned that it was hentai they refused to discuss the manga further. When I asked why they said something like they weren't going to discuss PORN with me, even though I was looking at this manga from the perspective of a work of art.
As you might have understood, I didn’t have any sex education either, for the same reason.
I HONESTLY don't understand what's wrong, like it's natural and all that, it's part of human nature.

As a fellow asexual, I really don't get why it's so taboo either! It seems like whenever allosexual people talk about sex, it's either in hushed tones, really LOUD for shock value, or as a joke. I think if allosexual people were able to look at it like we do, either as just a part of life or as a means of artistic expression and an admiration of the human body, the world would be a lot less crazy.
