This is my first entry, hope you like it.
This will be kind of a rant, or maybe I'm just spreading the gospel, but I have a question. Why do some Christians judge and tell people they're going to hell? Isn't that literally what Jesus said NOT to do? Also, I don't know about them but I recall Him saying: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35. Jesus literally loves everyone and everything and if they wanna be like Him so bad and go to heaven then why are they doing this? My hypothesis is that their interpretation of the Bible is just really funky, or they use Jesus and His word as an excuse to judge people and twist the words of the Bible.
The Bible has been reinterpreted, retold, rewritten, and changed over and over for THOUSANDS of years but one thing is always clear, Jesus loves His Father's creations. That includes literally every person, plant, animal, rock, and body of water.
It doesn't matter if you're a lgbt, a killer, a bad person, a Christian, an atheist, or anything else, He will always love you even if you don't believe in or love him back. You don't need to pray or believe in Him or go to church or anything to gain His love, you already have it!
I just want to spread God's love to everyone here, no matter who you are. I love you, Jesus loves you, and God loves you. You are His child and He wants the best for you. Every trial is His way of making you stronger.
Okay I'm done ranting, byeeeeee!

Hi. I agree with you about God loving everyone unconditionally but I think he also cares how we treat each other. There’s some good Christians who love others like Jesus wants us to but there’s also some horrible ones who judge and ill treat people. My parents are both Christians. My mom is a Christian who loves others and treats them well. My dad judges people and mistreated me and my mom before we moved to the UK to escape from him and his abusive behaviour. I try to be the type of Christian my mom is and hope I’m never like my dad. Neither my mom nor I go to church because we believe that God is everywhere not just in a building.

for me the bigger problem is even assuming in the first place that someone will go to hell or not... as if you are God and you can know that??? it's the audacity. but historically speaking, when people didn't use to be so scientific and did believe there were god like entities out there... threatening people with hell was an effective way for people to believe in God and abide by christianity. fearmongering them into faith. and i think some christians are so disconnected with the world that they still believe this to be effective.

I'm catholic and it's so frustrating when people say that those who don't believe in him will go to hell!! Especially when they're forcing their religion on people, these people don't know what Jesus really wants..

God is love and wants us to love others. However He is also justice. Jesus is the first person in the Bible to talk about hell, and warn people of it. This is because love isn't just being nice, it is to seek the benefit of another person, and sometimes what benefits a person goes against what they want. For some Christians, telling people they are going to hell is a warning that comes from a loving place. Like, "hey, if you keep heading this direction you're going to get burned."
That being said, I find this a horrible way to evangelize, as most people who aren't Christian or Muslim don't believe in hell, so they just think you're being mean for no reason. The draw to Christ is an eternal relationship with God, not the fear of hell.
I do have to correct you on saying the Bible has been "changed." We translate the New Testament from ancient manuscripts, so at the very least we know the New Testament hasn't changed for 1,600-1,800 years. The differences between manuscripts are usually grammatical, and the majority of manuscripts are 99% identical. It's important that we can trust the Holy Scriptures because they are the only records of Jesus' teachings. It's difficult to follow the Messiah if we can't trust the documents preserving His words.

I see your heart in wanting to spread love, and I agree. Jesus does love everyone. But love doesn’t mean He approves of living unrighteous lifestyles. He didn’t come just to love us where we are; He came to save us and call us to repentance. That’s a big part of the Gospel that’s often left out, especially by those who strongly oppose Christianity.
While God’s love is for all, salvation and eternal life come through faith in Jesus. He said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6). You’re right that we shouldn’t judge people or act like we’re better, but we also shouldn’t water down truth to make it more comfortable. We’re all broken. All of us. Some people’s sins are loud, others are hidden, but every single one of us falls short. No one is better. No one is higher. We all need grace. We all need a Savior. That’s the level ground at the foot of the cross. At the end of the day, it’s not about who looks cleaner on the outside, it’s about who’s willing to surrender on the inside.
It’s not loving to ignore sin; it’s loving to speak truth with grace. Jesus did both. In John 8, when Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery, He didn’t just say, “I forgive you, so continue sinning.” He said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.” That’s the full picture of His love: compassion without compromise. So when people use “Jesus said to love” as a defense to support things that go directly against God’s Word, they’re only quoting part of the truth and partial truth can be just as misleading and harmful as a lie.
I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I admire your desire to make people feel seen and loved.

christianity has historically been warped and manipulated by those in power to trick the gullible into helping them reach whatever goals they had in mind. this has been a problem as long as religion has been around, but its especially prominent in modern catholicism and other cult-like religions such as mormonism. religion is not inherently evil, but it is powerful, and it can be manipulated into a tool for evil.
i am by no means a christian, quite the opposite, but i do believe those that manipulate the religion will receive their comeuppance eventually, and i do believe that followers of christ will return to his fold and live once more under his commandments, and spread the love and support they are supposed to.
That was well said and insightful. It has been changed and corrupted for a long time; hopefully, it'll end one day. I don't think beliefs and religion should be used that way.

Your hypothesis is very correct. They twist the words of passages to their will just to fit it into their argument. Believe it or not, some of the most religious people haven't actually read the bible as a whole. They just cherry pick verses here and there
Yeah, it's kinda sad. It gives the faith and religion a bad rep :(
