How to relive Gmail on original IOS client on old ios (from ios 3 to ios 7)

1. Go to myaccount.google.com . Go to this path: Security -> 2 step verification. Turn it on. Then go to search. We write “application passwords” and make the application password “Gmail”. (Just write “Gmail” in the name of the application password. Do it on the account you get your mail from). Copy it to your saved messages or write it on a piece of paper.

2. Next, go to the site tlsroot.litten.ca and download the certificate USERTrust RSA Certification Authority. (It is necessary to remove the error “Cannot get mail”).

3. Go to the settings of our Apple device. In “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, “Add Account” -> “Other” -> “Add a Mail Account”. Fill in. (IMPORTANT! Enter in the “Password” line the password you made in the first step!) Then click on “Next”. After that turn off the “Notes” item. Go to the settings of the mail client in the settings (of your account). In “Incoming Mail Server” enter this:

Host Name: imap.gmail.com

User Name: your email

Password: your application password

Next, in “Outgoing Mail Server” enter as follows:

Server: (slider enabled)

Host Name: smtp.gmail.com

User Name: your mail

Password: Application Password

Use SSL: (slider is enabled)

Authentication: Password

Server Port 587

Here you go! Enjoy!
