DBD youtubers

The recent debate between Spooknjukes and RiverCiver is one of the most painful things I've seen in a while. Honestly, RiverCiver is one of those people who should be removed from the platform and get their PC checked. 

• Aside from the blatant hypocrisy, he's given signs that he's racist and possibly homophobic. Like for example when Spooks called him our for using slurs. He didn't specify what type of slurs, he just said slurs. River immediately took that as Spooks calling him racist, which he didn't do. The fact that that's the first thing that comes to his mind kinda gives it away that he either was or is racist. We also need to take into account the accusations against him (posting racist stuff on social media, I found that info through reddit and River himself admitting to it in a YT comment. However, he said that he did it to "piss people off"?? That doesn't make it any better.

• River also put "Age is just a number" on Spooks in the thumbnail, trying to paint him as a predator. Spooks has a wife and kids, and streaming is his full-time job. These kinds of claims could possibly ruin his life. I don't see how anyone could possibly defend River after that. Even if he won the entire debate, just that one little thing makes him automatically be in the wrong. He would also mock Spook's voice like a child, and he had some goofy bingo card trying to predict what Spooks was going to say. 

• River likes to use the term "stimming" which is usually used to describe the behavior of people with autism (probably with other disorders too but I'm not sure). I find it disrespectful for him to use that word, especially since he fits the description more. 

• The only reason why this debate took place is because Spooks responded to a video River made called "Top 5 worst dbd youtubers" and he mentioned Spooks because he calls out bad behavior in the community. In the video, River says a lot of stuff about other people's videos that could be applied to his own content. He criticised Spooks for "putting people on blast" (most of the people Spooks talk about are toxic streamers or just players who go out of their way to harass people, tell them to off themselves, tell their viewers to go hate on them etc). Spooks always hides names of others, especially if they're a smaller streamer. Meanwhile, River openly insults everyone he ever talks about, even if they don't do or say anything wrong.

There's definitely more to unpack, I'll write more if the drama continues. Which I think it will, seeing as River thrives off of it.
