#1 - Introduction

(tapping microphone) Is-is this thing on? Yeah? Alright, cool.

Hi! I'm NotEthanHobbes, or just Ethan and this is my first blog entry. I'm only really writing this as a means of introduction to the type of stuff I'll be writing about here so I don't have to do it on my profile or inside of another blog post or whatever. As stated in my profile, I'm going to write about things that interest me and also hand out life updates. That's all I have to say, so now I'll go through each one of my interests and talk about what type of content I'll be posting regarding it.

Board/traditional games: My thoughts on various board games.

Bootleg video games: Talking about useless trivia regarding these. company histories, playing through them and recapping my thoughts on them, or other stuff such as my history with bootleg games.

Books: Thoughts on various books, of course. Probably nowhere close to cohesive reviews though.

Computers and technology: Mostly just nerdstuff. This is a very broad subject, so I suppose it'll just be general thoughts on tech happenings. I suppose I'll introduce the three "main characters" of this section here: "Shitty Chromebook", "School Laptop", and "Raspberry Pi 4". The only one you should care about right now is the school laptop since I bought it from my school and will be replacing the shitty Chromebook. My Raspberry Pi 4 is for playing retro games, which we'll get into later.

History: Don't expect this to be talked about too frequently as while I'm interested in it, I'm not invested in it. Will probably just be talking about strange historical happenings such as the Emu War when I do make a historypost.

Internet history: Way more invested in this than I am normal history. Will probably talk about the origins of several internet phenomena, my thoughts on internet phenomena, and possibly recaps of events.

Linguistics: Same deal with history, don't expect this to be updated too much. While I am invested in it, linguistics-related posts require a lot of research and I don't and likely never will have it in me to do all that for a blog post, lol. jan Misali made like a 30 minute video on the letter C, this isn't to be taken as a joke.

Math and Science: Will probably be the LEAST posted about subjects since I'm, uh, bad at it. I enjoy learning about them though, and will likely just regurgitate information I took from a Veritasium video or an XKCD comic when I do post about these two.

Movies: My thoughts on movies I've seen or want to see.

Nintendo: Of course, thoughts on upcoming games or Nintendo games I'm playing. Will have a bit of overlap with retro games, which is coming up soon. Regarding the Mario portion, expect lots of obscure Mario trivia and stuff related to the series. And I do mean lots. Basically, this portion will be a lesser Supper Mario Broth.

Retro games: Game reviews and my thoughts on retro games I've played, spanning from the Atari 2600 and early arcade titles to the Wii's final games. 

Television: Same as movies. I'll talk about both series as a whole and specific episodes as to differentiate the two.

Video game history: Uh... video game history. Think of a Great Value Scott the Woz. My jokes aren't as funny and my coverage is less in-depth.
