george russell is my goat and hes such a pookie for real.
mainly im going to just say that he has been absolutely COOKING on track this season and i am shocked to my very CORE that more people arent appreciating him. he is called mr consistent for a reason, hes had more podiums this season than MAX VERSTAPPEN, REIGNING WORLD CHAMPION!!! that is one of many reasons why he is goated.
he also is such a silly goose. the t pose is so iconic and i love him for it. 'yabadabadoo!!' 'ZUPABA!!!!' 'just sweat' OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM
average joe says their favourite drivers are max verstappen or lando norris or oscar piastri and sure those guys are cool but im quirky mf im different mf im special mf i <3 george russell and also fernando alonso because who doesnt love fernando alonso??
if i get a single message saying fernando is washed or he fell off i will hurt you because it is not his fault he is driving a shitbox tractor of a car. if they had better fuckin feedback from stroll than just 'this is the absolute worst pace i have ever had in my life' or 'gee guys youd think the car would be able to just drive through a gravel trap and have no damage to it whatsoever like this is on u guys' LIKE PLEASE JUST LEARN HOW TO FUCKING DRIVE

even if 'Nando were to be slow (which he isn't, it's the car as you said) he still has TONNES of experience and especially racecraft left from his younger self. a truly brave driver like Räikkönen or Schumacher that could try his antics everywhere.
i do agree Russell has epic pace, but i haven't seen much of his racecraft and overtaking skill yet (à la San Marino 2021), so thats yet to prove.
hot take: Andrea Antonelli has more in him than Russell. yes, hes got less experience but hes not far off in pace and his racecraft is arguably better, so i do think he can outmatch Russell, even this season.
who knows, maybe Antonelli and Piastri can be the new Senna and Prost respectively

i can't lie, i do also love antonelli. he has been absolutely killing it on track, especially for a rookie.
when it comes to george, i agree he has room to improve; just about every driver does. ill be happy to watch him get better and better on track over the years.
and for the last rookie, i hope he gets a good car for 2026. id love to see him get his 33rd soon. thank you for your input!!!
