I have a deep love for the Invincible series (comic and show alike), but recently I've noticed how some people in the fandom treats certain characters Amber (specifically the show version) being one of them. The way they talk about her, their lack of understanding of her character and of her relationship with Mark even tho they had a lot more chemistry than him and Eve (I love them too,but especially the show version feels quite underwhelming.) saying that his relationship with Amber is unhealthy and that Amber's anger in the show is invalid and that she's terrible for being angry at Mark for lying during SIX months of their relationship. People's main argument is that she mentions that she already knew Mark was Invincible, but it feels like they only heard that part and not the rest because she then mentions that it's only been a few weeks (I don't remember exactly but it was not that long.) out of SIX MONTHS, she has the right to be upset and feel upset,to feel lied to, because she WAS being lied to (for a good reason but it doesn't make her feelings any less valid.) From her point of view, her boyfriend kept disappearing and coming up with some lame excuse for it, was constantly late and was clearly lying to her. Even comic Amber gets shit for emotionally cheating on Mark (which is completely valid), but no one mentions that Mark ALSO CHEATED WITH EVE. After Mark and Amber have a fight, Mark flies to Africa to go see Eve and they talk, hug and then THEY KISS, but every time I see comic discourse no one talks about that, but won't hesitate to call out Amber for doing so,which good as they should but they should also call out Mark. The fact that this is an issue is just sad and annoying, you can't mention your love for Amber without someone trying to convince you that she is one of the worst characters in the show, which is crazy because there are some character in this show that are worse than her but NO ONE SAYS JACKSHIT ABOUT THEM. The way they talk about the women in the show is either full on hating on them and calling them bops and other degrading terms or just straight up sexualizing them and don't get me started on how they talk about the ralationships in general, I will genuinely crash out.

The invincible fandom and it's weird treatment towards women.
