games I used to play (as a late genz)

First off, I'm a late genz, so I'm going to be talking about 2016-2020!
(google material UI until covid)

For starters, I got access to the web when everything was starting to get shittier and shittier (imo), think 2016. And actually.. I still, to this day, remember what music playlist I used to listen to. The original is deleted, but someone reposted the very same video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN5hx__S9S0

It was this 1 hour mix with Raichu and Pikachu and I absolutely loved it lmao I still do
1dobrasil gaming mix pikachu raichu
Back then I used to listen to Alan Walker, Marshmello and artists collabing with NCS.

I used to play games of Facebook and later on Facebook Gameroom, when the CEO guy was still a lizard. Also went on A10.com and gry.pl (the polish equivalent of gamesgames.com), and of course, played the .io games! (it seems that A10.com could've been acquired by gamesgames.com? idk)

I remember these being kind of addictive, like, sometimes bad type of addictive.
However, I wouldn't play them if I weren't having fun.
Anyway, let's get started with the list, because I can only imagine for how long I will have to type:

THE GAMES LIST:

diep.io

YESSS diep.io!!
I would play the mothership gamemode, 4 teams or domination
I used to be SCARED of the maze gamemode
Always went for the overlord (the 4-sided drone tank)

mope.io

I was dogwater at this game and I always wanted to get to the black dragon, but
always failed miserably because someone would kill me
It was a great way to occupy some time

Jacksmith

THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I PLAYED THIS ON OUR SCHOOL PC's..
My and my friend group would often play this game at our old school's library, competing who could make the nicest looking weapons

Mighty Knight

I loved to play the dagger guy, would max out my main character and leave the others unupgraded until I needed to. I remember explicitly clicking a facebook rewards button only to close the facebook page instantly and get the rewards either way.

Vex (1 - 4)

Only played these 4 parts, but the times I'd raged at this game are uncountable
I loved the jumping and falling blocks mechanics

Dungeon Blitz

I used to GRIND AND GRIND this game. I was a melee class and remember being stuck at some town becausI didn't know how to progress. This is shameful, but this is how I got to know cheat engine.. I didn't cheat much though, I lost interest in cheating here once I saw the changes were client-side only, and I still dealt shit damage in public lobbies (deserved..).

Dungeon Rampage

THIS IS BEING REVIVED!! WOW!
The revival / remake will be available on Steam and Kickstarter and they're actually going to publish some sort of demo on the 19th May.

I used to want the blue samurai soooooo badly.. but before I could get him, the game stopped working and was discontinued :/
I remember having lots of fun though, and this is probably the main game I played back then.
Looking forward to playing the remake.

Super Stacker 2

You'd balance different objects and if they didn't fall you'd progress.
Of course, being the person I am, I would find weird ways to balance the objects, often the objects would even fall after the game would mark the level as complete

KoGaMa

It's not the same game it used to be. Now filled with ads, monetization, but it's understandable because Roblox had been attracting Kogama's playerbase onto their platform..
I still have the login to my 2016 account, and I have a sans undertale skin xd
Sadly, I remember cheating in KoGaMa with the Radyx Trainer and cheat engine.
This is also the first website on which I've fallen for the inspect element infinite gold "glitch" lol.

Epic Boss Fighter 2

I used to play this game OVER and OVER and I wouldn't get bored.
I remember dying at this one boss where the hero fought a spider.
The times I searched for this game and wasn't able to find it were worth it, because I remembered it recently.

Armor Mayhem

I LOVED fighting people (or bots? idk) in this game.
To be honest, it was very addictive, and with each death I wanted to get my revenge even more.

Takeover RTS

I'd play this from time to time at home.
Always stayed up after my sleeptime just to finish a level.
I quite never finished the game, so maybe I should in the near future?

Moomoo.io

I remember when there were no scripters and no cheaters (at least visible to the eye)
I used to play the sandbox version with unlimited resources.
However as time went on, people started using scripts with greasyfork & tampermonkey, and I was one of these people. However one day I just uninstalled my scripts and tried to play legit, only to have such satisfaction, when I killed cheaters using spike traps (because the game's anticheat wouldn't let you heal as fast as the cheats would). I quit the game though, because then bots started appearing. Don't know how the situation is now, but I'm not tempted to play it atm.

Fireboy & Watergirl (any part)

I enjoyed the 2nd part the most, and it's also the one I remember the best.
I'd sometimes invite a friend over to play with, but more often I'd just play both characters on my own. yikes

=== END OF LIST

So yah those were the games I remember the most.
I still have some at the back of my head but I tried both searching for then and asking friends if they knew those games and I just couldn't find them.

But anyway ye those are what I thought back then were the absolute bangers, hope you enjoyed this and maybe even rediscovered and old game you forgot

Hi. I'm a middle gen and couldn't find anything specifically about certain ages being able to interact, so sorry for cutting in.

My first exposure to the internet was around ~2010, but I was mainly left to my own toys in 2016 (and sometimes supervised on the internet 2013-2015) to figure out what to do. I've heard NCS so many times but mainly listened to random songs featured in YouTube videos, some of those artists later becoming core to my music taste. I played Facebook games from ~2014-2016 and later moved on to ROBLOX since 2016, which ended up being a core game I've played for a long while, until about recently when I slowed down.

Nearly all of these games are unfamiliar, especially KoGaMa, since I was mainly on the ROBLOX end (since 2014), but Super Stacker 2 brought me back. I forgot all about playing that, Flash Games are unique and will always be remembered as a very core part of what games was first like when I first picked up the internet.

Fireboy & Watergirl is like a staple, I swear to god it's just super iconic with almost every childhood person I've known. I played the games on my own originally, but I've gotten the chance to replay it with a young kid when I was over on vacation back in April.
