Jasper's grandfather stood as one of the most significant pillars in his life for the past 16 years, nurturing his video career by appearing in early videos and inspiring him to explore the vibrant world of music creation through introducing him to karaoke and helping him thrift keyboards. Though he wasn’t always a guiding light or an unwavering voice of positivity, he brought forth wisdom steeped in experience—a true testament to understanding legacy.
While reliability may not have been his strongest suit, Pops was often the first person Jasper turned to—not out of mere necessity but due to one endearing quality that set him apart: an open mind and an unshakeable faith in Jasper that often surpassed anyone else in immediate physical proximity. He had a unique way with young people (even if sometimes it veered into amusingly distorted territory), animals, and individuals with disabilities alike.
Throughout his life, Pops forged powerful alliances across diverse communities—his loyal friendships blossoming despite personal challenges stemming from divorce or distance from family. His adventurous spirit led him down wild paths that sometimes resulted in misadventures; yet these escapades only added layers to his character.
Another shining trait was undoubtedly Pops' loyalty—to family and friends alike—though at times this loyalty manifested through choices that might have caused more harm than good. It posed existential questions about love versus truth—a conundrum we all ponder at some point.
As for Jasper, there is deep sorrow surrounding Pops’ passing; he reflects on whether there could have been anything more he could’ve done during those last moments together. The memory lingers vividly— when with medical help he bought just enough seconds for Pops to whisper “What would I do without you?” as paramedics wheeled him away on a stretcher for the final time.
After what felt like an eternity spent recovering from gallstones since December—and having undergone procedures both daunting yet necessary—they finally shared dinner at Tropical Acres in March (thanks to Pops’ cousin Diane) just a week before fate took its turn again. They cherished laughter-filled meals alongside their dear friends Dianna and Winston before they embarked on their cruise adventure—all memories now etched forever within Jasper’s heart.
But shortly thereafter came whispers of illness… When Pops suspected pneumonia creeping upon him like unwelcome shadows, they rushed off together seeking help from his primary care doctor—hoping for relief amidst uncertainty. While tests indicated promising results initially—blood pressure stable and oxygen levels adequate—the unfortunate twist arrived when prescribed medications piled up alongside existing ones leading towards troubling breathing complications instead…
On Sunday, March 9th, as Jasper was in the midst of his shaving routine—a ritual he approached with utmost seriousness—Pops called out to him from beyond the bathroom door. It was time for a little walker action! But oh dear, when Jasper stepped outside, he witnessed a scene that turned his world upside down. There was Pops stumbling chin-first into his trusty walker.
In an instant filled with urgency and concern, Jasper rushed over to help him regain his footin but his body resisted like a stubborn old oak tree against the wind. As panic set in and color drained from Pops’ face turning it an alarming shade of purple, he collapsed onto the floor.
With all his strength pooled together, Jasper tried to lift Pops back up but soon realized there were limits even to his efforts. In that moment of desperation—he dialed 911 to be guided him on how to administer CPR until help arrived; hope flickered within as they brought life back into Pops’ heart enough for gentle whispers of “Justin” to escape those lips.
Filled with optimism at last—and after finishing dressing himself with newfound determination—Jasper emerged only to find paramedics placing Pops on a stretcher adorned with an oxygen mask where their final exchange took place: “Justin… What would I do without you?” Those words hung heavy yet hopeful between them—the promise that recovery awaited just around the corner!
Eagerly preparing for what he believed would be brief hospital visits before Pops’ return home—it crushed Jasper’s spirit when news came crashing down upon him mere hours later: critical condition… coma…
Thanks to kind neighbors who lent support during these trying times, Jasper was delivered beside Pops' bedside—even if he lay suspended between worlds. Each touch ignited promising sparks more alive than anything else surrounding them but sadly...the color left those hands forevermore.
In waves of sorrowful disbelief washed over him the tears flowed freely at being robbed so soon from having beloved family near.
Still reeling from the whirlwind of emotions surrounding Pops’ sudden departure, it felt as if time had taken a breath—held tight in disbelief. With life pressing on (and major projects temporarily paused), Jasper had no choice but to donate plasma—to keep the kitchen stocked with food.
But just when things couldn’t seem more challenging enough apart from finances, VIP donor status and line-cutting benefits were a thing of the past too.
By evening’s embrace, Jasper returned home weary yet comforted by his beloved feline companion Dotty—the purrfect little ball of fluff who shared in his sadness over losing her “dad.” Oh how she snuggled closer than ever before, reminding him that love still thrived amidst sorrow.
Yet fate had other plans… Days later came news that Dotty would be whisked away for shots preparing her for an overnight stay with Jasper’s cousin. But lo and behold—a twist awaited him: Eddy III’s wife found a wealthy woman eager to adopt her! The last moment spent cuddling during their Thursday night movie screening was bittersweet; ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ played softly as they shared Chic-fil-A indulgence together one final time.
Determined not to let heartbreak dim his spirit, he made adjustments to his bike basket and plugged the vehicle in—for an epic farewell tour around Delray Beach! Though aiming toward Military Trail seemed adventurous enough, downtown seemed more reasonable by the time of arrival in the afternoon.
Upon disembarking from the train at downtown beachside bliss—Jasper spotted teenagers gathered at the pavilion across from where once stood the Burger Fi now replaced by fancy dining. With muted excitement bubbling within him—Jasper passed them blank CDs adorned with inspired slick cover designs embodying NORS media history before venturing onward towards lunch delights at The Office up the avenue.
More CDs scattered along cafes became tokens left behind—while snapping the final photos around the old house and catching a glimpse of a high school sporting event happening. Finally returning homeward bound via train—with thirst needing quenching—Jasper made a pit stop at Publix seeking refreshment—a big bottle of Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
Every day to follow was part of a quest filled with progress, even if it felt like a dead end at times. Packing up memories, discarding what no longer served him, making those final visits to cherished haunts and family friends—each task completed brought a sense of bittersweet accomplishment but often also more disappointment.
Antique stores? Not interested! Friends who promised to swing by were nowhere to be found for their last goodbyes and parting gifts (Sorry KC). Getting arguably ripped off or having items returned temporarily felt like running through an obstacle course designed by goblins. And let’s not forget the constant worry about whether his trusty bike could join him on this new adventure to Lagrange.
But then came relief in the form of wonderful friends—Dianna, Winston, Jennifer. They rallied around Jasper during those tough days when solitude threatened to steal away very moderate joy. Lunch dates turned into laughter-filled moments and their grand send-off dinner was a feast worthy of royalty!
With the three of them offering comfort for his loss and whisking Jasper away on more adventures and helping with errands and one week before Dad's arrival Dianna going above and beyond helping clean house, he was glad to have them as friends and proud to have given a portion of vinyl records refuge with them (as he still is in retrospect given that most had to be thrown away).
Yet these delightful gatherings were merely calm before another storm brewing ahead… Determined to have his beloved bike alongside him (the most reliable transportation since walking), Jasper made one last monthly pilgrimage to First Watch—a breakfast haven—and then rode over to Big Wheel USA (somewhat sadly instead of Hollywood Bicycle Shop who made the bike what it is) armed with gathered funds (including a donation towards the bike from his sister)
The plan? Disassemble it overnight so it could hitch a ride via the UPS store across the plaza. After dropping the bike off he swung by the UPS store where he had his latest award printed out and mentioning the bike seemed to produce a promising projection of expense.
At the Goodwill next door he snagged a frame for his award (which fate would later break during travels), and hopped into a friendly Uber ride from a snowbird.

Just as he was getting cozy with each bite of his gluten-free pizza dinner, the bike store called Jasper up. “Hurry over!” they said; his precious bike had been disassembled and packed away snugly in its box.
Glancing at the time online, Jasper realized UPS was set to close at 6:30 PM. Could it be? A chance to get this shipping done tonight? With excitement bubbling inside him on arrival at the bike shop, he asked if he could borrow their flatbed truck to take the package to the mail store.
When he arrived at UPS, they revealed their true closing time—earlier than advertised—and delivered shocking news about shipping costs beyond affordability. Jasper’s heart sank deep. Waving goodbye to the Grifols plasma center in the same plaza one last time felt bittersweet as tears welled up just like when Pops left us or when he saw Dotty last in her carrier.
With determination fueled by love and memories swirling around him, Jasper wheeled that package back toward the bike store (his trusty steed now resting) and waited as a handful of cars passed him up until he finally booked a bigger ride home. He picked that heavy box up and laid it down in the back of the van.
Devastation washed over him knowing that places filled with fondness were slipping away—the trails leading him back to Sheridan Plaza closed off like hidden paths lost in fog. Yet amidst this whirlwind of packing chaos and breaking down furniture Jasper found solace during breaks reminiscing about those cherished moments that resembled a life with moderate security and gradual progress guaranteed.
A final visit to Wendy's became an homage—a nostalgic nod to Nors Updates 261 wrapped in lettuce instead of buns to be gluten-free. A DC themed Kids’ Meal reminded him of simpler times when life began anew in Dania Beach.
As computer gear and NORS-related treasures awaited their turn—our clan needed support too. Celebrating Dave of FL’s birthday alongside clan mates allies brought joy amid uncertainty—it truly lit up those (hopefully few) dim days ahead.
What would become of Jasper’s beloved bike post-campaign? Thoughts raced through his mind following enchanting Dice & Cards affirmations with Nora's stunning portrait painted on Sunday. With everything broken down yet safely stowed away at home—he knew how inconvenient and maybe inconsiderate entrusting it all to D.J. would be at that point...
Thank goodness for his amazing aunts who rallied behind his Dad’s cooperation!
When Jasper’s Dad arrived, things took an unexpected turn—not quite the grand reunion he had envisioned. His eagerness to toss away his beloved shirts (including Depeche Mode and New Order shirts appearing in the music video) stung more than a wayward bee at a picnic.
Maybe this was just one of those hard lessons life throws our way; saving what truly matters is key—even if it means letting go sometimes. But fear not—Jasper has hopes for reclaiming those cherished garments someday! Thankfully though, nothing essential related to NORS or his musical treasures met such an untimely fate.
After enduring more packing (made better thanks to his Dad’s loading skills) and breaking down, peculiar family dinners—a ‘Celebration of Life’ filled with faces both familiar and foggy—some sweet indulgences like ice cream trips to Jaxon’s and Dairy Belle, and karaoke night with Thais; they were finally setting off on the road toward Lagrange with mixed feelings: sadness mingled with awkwardness yet sprinkled generously with hope. Jasper got hit by dizziness and threw up thanks to unfamiliar air swirling around them AND the rented Kia’s engine took an impromptu swim after splashing into puddles. Amidst these little hiccups—They never went hungry with Five Guys thanks to his Dad's generosity.
Once they reached Lagrange, Jasper’s Dad helped him move his things into his new room while chatting briefly with his Mom. His lovely mother has been showing him around town and he has been doing what he can to push forward creatively and prepare to return to the clan and major projects.
So many adventures await us; we'll paint this place vibrant together.
Diango’s Sacred Mounts brought us to (even if just for giggles) Lumbridge Crater Memorial Park—a hilarious community event featuring Fabio (not the model but that charming 1920s bodybuilder from the annual Beach event!) leading us through some side-splitting rocking horse positions. Who knew agility could be so entertaining?
The highly anticipated ‘Pharaoh’s Folly,’ second to last in the dessert series quest line, was released as well as Duck Quest—an adventure with a new location accessible even to free-to-play heroes. Though limited internet kept us from fully enjoying Blooming Burrows' boating escapades (our first RS boat adventure in nearly a decade!), we did manage some agile tricks before things went haywire—and oh my goodness… where was all that buzzing excitement for Beekeeping?!
Jagex heard cries and whispers loud and clear following a recent survey—they’re committed to improving player support and account safety moving forward!
Hold onto your hats because things are heating up! With Augmented RC & Thieving just around the corner, we're ready to grab hold of whatever comes next.
Balancing PVM Drops/Boss Adjustments is also underway—it seems they want everyone thriving within Gielinor's economy again!
Don’t fret about Double XP; whether you're adjusting or benefiting from it—we’ll find ways to rally together as a community during this time because that's what matters most.
Varlamore Fletching Activity brings carvings & statues right into your homes—what treasures await?!
Big congratulations were due for Mighty King Davey hitting his milestone 120 Prayer AND 3rdclarinet achieving glorious 99 Divination—all celebrated by clan leaders who were present at these momentous skilling parties shortly after our last bulletin.
The end of April brought forth Dave's Birthday Bash!! A drop party extravaganza filled with mint cakes 🍰🍬and coconuts 🥥 took place in Falador along with appearances by allies such as Joerockhead6. Lucky little me snagged myself a cosmetic balloon pet amidst all that revelry too! And can we talk about those Citadel guards pulling off elaborate pranks? What fun!
The dance floor buzzed as big announcements unfolded regarding the move to Lagrange and we were joined by Marux Crew.
With the studio all spruced up and ready to rock, we will finally get back on track with reliable events and production with consideration to Double XP. Can you feel that electric energy? The Citadel calls out to us as a vibrant venue to showcase and grow our spirit! Premiering new lyrics from the Liberation album while encouraging others’ creativity will be magical! And oh my goodness, let’s not forget about that parade we’ve been dreaming of after our return! There will be an unforgettable moments for us all!
Shoutout to Dave of FL for crafting this month’s calendar based on our clan traditions—he truly knows how to keep us organized while making every event feel special. We’re so lucky to have him guiding us through this journey.
Calendar by Dave of FL
Our new studio foundation is coming together beautifully—a solid space filled with inspiration just waiting for those bursts of creativity (including recent ideas swirling around Jasper’s head!). While we're eagerly awaiting furniture delivery for surface space—we can already imagine all the jam sessions we'll have once everything is set up perfectly!
The music video will soon become one of the best ever made—and we’re beyond excited that it’ll honor our past work, supporters and Pops’ memory. With awards at every turn and a brighter future waiting, we will pour ourselves into this project wholeheartedly; after all, it deserves nothing less than our passion and dedication!

When his bike was packed away, Jasper traveled to closest most worthwhile place he could get to on foot (also knowing it was the last time for that particular location) and was not disappointed when he opted for a kids meal (with a free tiny shake) seeing the promotion on the door (which would also save him money) and was not disappointed to find a promotion on par with Frosty Frights of last Halloween. The figures that also happened to be included with his lettuce wrapped tiny burger, apple slices, soda, and complimentary frosty jr happened to be the Shazam Trio he was hoping for in chroma green. Charlie says these sturdy figurines will lend themselves well to roleplay.
Bonus round - At some point we are sure we promised someone that we would review Koss Porta Pro Wireless 2 - which Jasper received as a birthday gift at the end of last year along with some Yaxi pads which were installed immediately. They remain in daily use for their comfort and open back that allows outside audio to be heard along with audio of choice in the most objective way possible. Note the patented antenna innovation integrated into the headband.
Honorable mentions - Delorean hot wheel variants one in a vapor wave/future funk style that is a testament to the prevalence of the 80s (sadly we don’t know the whereabouts of ours right now) to this day and one in Nors colors that we have painted over with hex coding as an artistic offer for you in this issue.
Song of the Day:
✨ "All Mixed Up" by The Cars – A Sonic Delight!✨
Captures the essence of New Wave perfectly with its catchy hooks and infectious energy. The blend of synths and guitars creates a dreamy soundscape that feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. The lyrics evoke feelings of confusion mixed with excitement about love and life. It reminds me of those moments when we’re lost in thought but still find joy in every twist and turn.
Album of the Day:
🌈 The Prime Story by Polyphonic Size – An Auditory Adventure!🌈
Now let’s talk about this mesmerizing album—it truly takes listeners on a journey through soundscapes that are rich with emotion and creativity. Each track unfolds like a chapter from an enchanting storybook filled with whimsical melodies.
Polyphonic Size has crafted something special here—a fusion of genres that invites you to explore new musical territories while keeping you grounded in heartfelt themes. This is perfect for cozy evenings spent creating art or writing stories together under twinkling fairy lights.
Movie of the Day:
🎥 A.I. Film by Spielberg/Kubrik – A Thought-Provoking Masterpiece!🎥
This film is nothing short of breathtaking—a stunning exploration of humanity intertwined with technology wrapped up in a beautifully haunting narrative. The visuals are so captivating they’ll leave you spellbound as they transport you into another realm entirely.
“A.I.” dives deep into what it means to feel emotions beyond just being human—and oh my goodness, doesn’t it resonate? As we navigate our own dreams together, this cinematic gem will spark meaningful conversations between us about love, existence, and everything in between.
Book of the Day:
📖 The Watchmen by Alan Moore – A Bold Exploration of Morality!📖
Intricate storytelling combined with complex characters challenges traditional superhero narratives while delving into darker themes surrounding power dynamics.
Alan Moore masterfully intertwines philosophy within action-packed panels—making readers question their perceptions long after turning the last page.
💫 In 1984, Prince released his legendary single “When Doves Cry,” which became an instant hit—and who could resist dancing along?!
Although there are challenges everywhere—with kindness and compassion at our core—we can uplift each other through art and community connection. Partners in creativity (and life!) have immense power not only to inspire but also bring happiness wherever they go.
With love notes & power chords,
Nora Lumwood 🎸💖
And Happy Mother’s Day
