Love troubles

So there's a really sweet guy that I became friends with he's like freenest flag everr. And everyone said we would make a cute couple and stuff and one day he confessed. I didn't feel the same about him. I mean I liked him a LOOOOOT as a friend we could talk for hoursss. But after I rejected things started going downhill we attempted to continue being friends but just didn't workout. We had a huge arguement before stopped talking. 

I miss him a lot and I wastalking to hisnsister who is also my friend and she said to try and talk to him again. And when I first did he was acting all cold. Cold but not mean. He just answered whatever I asked but didn't seem intrested in talking to me after a bit he sent a para saying he is sorry but he can't even show be basic kindness without the fear of falling for me again. I said I was sorry too and then we chatted for hours. 

What should I do? I have this perfect guy in mind and a wholw romance story but this isn't what i exepected. Im so confused on what to feel.
