Hello! I have been listening to a lot of post-hardcore/emo music and also a lot of Screamo this week so i just feel like rambling about it a bit !!
currently I am listening "Demo" by Neverending... which is a short ep lengthed post-hardcore/emo project that is also metalcore. Besides the rough production and recording quality, it sounds like it could have came out in the mid 2000's despite releasing in 1997. the songs are incredible, i love the guitar work and the vocalist is really good. some strong melodies here which youll come to notice i LOVEEEE especially in emo music.
I've also had AlexisOnFire's debut album on all day. I revisted it yesterday and haven't been ablr to put it down. Such a powerful blend of the sound of emo at that point. incredible and genuinely exciting songwriting, it never gets boring or feels formulaic no matter how much i listen to it. The screams are all over and the kind that youd expect on a Screamo album despite it being primarily a post-hardcore/emo. also Dallas Green is INCREDIBLE on here and seriously offers a number of my favorite melodies in the genre. Furthermore, all the songs on the album are as good as one another, theres no gaps in quality. It may be a perfect album which i rarely say for records. so so good
also need to say but I am a big fan of Lord Snow!! Solitude is my favorite Screamo and Emoviolence record OAT, incredibly raw and powerful songs all across. extremely replayable and it has SUPER memorable guitar and drum work SOOOO GOOD 🤞
okay that all feel free to talk to me about this i LOVE music !!
