latest obsession

Yurii blog entry within less than one hour? Woah! This is kind of crazy! but also not really since by the time I finally finish writing this it'll reach the one hour mark probably.
Regardless!! I'm feeling quite happy today, so I felt as if it was appropriate to share how i've been greatly invested in this one series called Golden Kamuy (and on 2 very specific characters). 

First published in August 21st, 2014, it's a series about a veteran of the Russo-Japanese war, a little ainu girl, and many many more equally interesting characters, and trust me, I am not just throwing that word around! I found the story very interesting and definitely enthralling in it's own way. Though, an in-depth analysis of the story as a whole is not where i'm trying to get here!

There are these two characters I am particularly fond of, Vasily Pavlichenko and Ogata Hyakunosuke. And oh, god do not get me started. To me, their dynamic is extremely captivating, down to every last bit of it. A man, deemed unworthy by a fool masquerading as a god, dedicating sketchbook real-estate to one guy and one guy only, this Russian fool has me in a headlock, I must say. Local Russian man discovers gap-moe and is awestruck by it (not ideal) haha! Ogata, on the other hand, is a total weirdo, there is DEFINITELY something VERY wrong inside that brain of his, and I can't help but find both extremely relatable. I love them lots and in all truthfulness, the possibility someone out there might like my favorite character more than me makes me geek a little, I truly do not believe it is possible! Is this selfish? Oh definitely. Do I care? Not necessarily. 

I do feel as if this obsession has become embarrassing perhaps? I don't know how to put my finger on it but it is definitely not normal. Not like I care. I'm having fun and truly, that's what really matters!

As good as the show is, I find it hard to spot fans just out there, which is a shame really. Maybe that lack of contact is due to my own struggles with connecting with people and things of that sort. Sure I don't mind blogging or posting a quick tweet or whatever but, jeez, it's scary talking to someone I don't know haha. I'm getting offtopic here, so in conclusion, this is a very jumbled rant about many many things, but the main focus is GK and 2 very special characters.
