A rec list of all the podcasts I'm currently behind on in no particular order
> Welcome to Night Vale
- An obvious classic among strange podcast fans, and with good reason. I'm no more than a handful of episodes behind and personally think the show is still going strong. The currently developing plot line with Cecil's brother-in-law is particularly exciting this season.
> The Magnus Protocol
- The Magnus Archives sequel with all the doom and fear you expect, I haven't gotten too far into season 2 yet but I'm looking forward to setting aside some time for it. Season 1 was filled with twists and terrors I'm still grappling with.
> Breaker Whiskey
- I'm a huge fan of everything by Atypical Artists/Lauren Shippen, and this show is no exception. Bite sized diary entries from a stranger in a mysteriously empty, alternate history- Whiskey asks some heavy questions and hopes desperately someone might answer. Season 2 brings a new format I'm excited to dig deeper into.
> Superhuman Public Radio
- The most recent full episode came out in 2023, so it's highly possible this show will only have 2 seasons- which is probably why I keep putting off the finale. It may be largely a parody of real news casts and pop culture's favourite heroes, but SPR walks the line between exaggerated and grounded heartfelt story telling in a way that is perfectly suited to my tastes.
> Rogues! The Podcast
- The peak of Batman fanfiction, in my humble opinion; Rogues! mostly follows Edward Nygma (The Riddler) and Dr. Jonathan Crane (The Scarecrow) through a series of trials that borrow from the comics, with twists that make the series unique and uniquely intriguing. It took me embarrassingly long to realize the show only has one primary voice actor portraying nearly every character- he's just that good! I'm only one episode behind on this one because this portrayal of the Riddler is like actual catnip to me.

if u haven't listened to the silt verses u might like it but that's an educated guess from me cuz ive only seen stuff about it i haven't actually listened to it lol
I don't know like anything about Silt Verse but I've seen it mentioned a lot by people with similar tastes, and I think Spotify has recommended it to me many times. I'm sure I would enjoy it- there's so many podcasts I still need to listen to.

FIRST POST DROPPED WAKE UP EVERYBODY
What's Welcome to Night Vale about? I've heard about it
WTNV is basically presented as radio transmissions from a very strange town- the sort where time doesn't work right and the governing bodies are run by ominous hooded figures. But the radio host, Cecil, has lived there all his life (however long that is) and so to him most of this is normal, so he just presents the latest news as he understands it and frequently overshares about his personal life.
