AI Life Hell Oasis Future (Jargin No. 15)

actually short one today, i'm tired

saw this news article about a man that was killed in a road-rage shootout a few years ago. The trial for this was a couple days ago, and in the trial, the victim's sister used an AI-generated video of himself as a victim impact statement for the case.

this is obviously really mortifying and disrespectful towards the victim, this video sucks. it got me thinking about a hypothetical scenario i thought about writing about last week, but ended up not doing:

it's very possible that in the very very near future, some moron will begin taking advantage of mothers and fathers grieving the loss of their children by creating "revolutionary AI-powered simulation technology" to make hollow doppelgangers of the deceased. Not only is it blatantly disrespectful to the dead person but like if someone did that to me i would crawl out of hell and kill satan to reclaim my legitimate place, or unlikely but alternatively give up my place in heaven to kill the guy that did that to me.

although this is an example of misuse of AI, and it's somewhat ignorant and dismissive to say there's absolutely nothing good that can possibly come from it... but I still have such massive distain for AI, and things like this makes me hate it even more.

it sucks that I'm going into the computer science field in college as well where I know for a fact it's going to be shoehorned down my throat at every moment and all of my colleagues are going to be jerking themselves off about it. UGH, not excited for that.

but yeah. anyway. didnt have much to say and want to go to sleep nownownownow. didnt listen to The Scholars by CSH yet because i was playing too much outlast trials. i owe four comics i rhink
