Malcolm In The Middle SUUUXX (lie)

Technically this is supposed to be a "my weekly obsession 2" but its been weeks since i started it AND THATS BECAUSE

My laptop (the old one I was using when I started this) was on the brink of death and struggled to load Spacehey (OF ALL THINGS??) so I wasn't effed continuing and told myself I'd go on once I get my new laptop. ANYWAYS I got a gaming laptop like the true loser I am so here I am now.

Ok we're continuing now...

So school just started for me again and throughout the whole of Autumn break I was obsessing over Roblox but I think that's a bit boring to talk about, isn't it? But yesterday I started rewatching Malcolm In the Middle instead of studying and DAMN I FORGOT HOW FUNNY IT WAS.

To start this off, I started watching Malcolm In The Middle when I was about 8? or 9? My siblings and I didn't grow up with the mid 2010 fancy shit like Foxtel so we watched regular TV channels like 9Go! and MITM would come on sometime around Dinner if I remember correctly - so it was perfect. I just remember finding it really entertaining then and as I grew older I appreciated it more and more. sometime around 2022 my family decided to rewatch the series along with other sitcoms and once again I'm doing it myself now.

I'm up to S1 EP9 now I think, but my most favourite episode of all time though would definitely be Cheerleader (S1 E12) solely because of Dewey's plotline in that episode. My brother and I find it hilarious. But as I was watching the other episodes I only realised then how these characters are actually quite fleshed out rather than sticking to their one 'bit' along with how they reveal little tidbits that affect the relationship between the characters. For example in S1 E2 "Red Dress" at some point Reese reveals to Malcolm that he deals (to put it nicely) with the kids that insult Malcolm for being in the "Krelboyne" class. Although short, this scene is just a really sweet moment between the two and I think it just also accurately represents siblings and how the sweetest moments can come at the most random times.

Also I like how they go on with 'bits' or traits about the family instead of dropping it after an episode like some sitcoms do (cough...cough...Modern Family). Like how all the males in Malcolm's family have a different reaction to crushes and not like how "normal healthy people" do. In S1 E7 "Francis Escapes" It’s sort of foreshadowed with Francis' crazy obsession with Bebe before stated and explained to the rest of the boys in "Cheerleader" when Reese is reacting the same way.

ANYWAYSS farewell I shall return in approx. 11 more years.
