Okay. I dont hate all of them, sure. I know not all of you tiktok users are annoying drama starters. but MOST ARE!!! so many of you MOVE here because you "want the old internet back" YOU HAVE NOT EVEN SCRAPED THE SURFACE! you are still arguing on there over whether scene is a fashion based subculture or a music based subculture. they are so divided and uncertain. they come here and bring their drama with them and make this place a hellscape of accusations. there is always a callout blog, no matter how true or fake it is, at the top blogs. it causes drama, threats get sent, and soon enough this website will be as toxic as discord and twitter. this is not what Myspace was like. we need to fix this for the sake of the website. Discord screenshots, people being accused of using slurs (sometimes faked, for what reason???), all in a callout blog thats at the top every day. Its getting annoying. not to mention these people see spacehey as a popularity contest, as if spacehey popularity something that actually matters. these people are going to kill spacehey with their drama.
I just hope when it actually happens, they won't get upset at the fact there's no good social media anymore, and everywhere is toxic. it'll be their fault and they deserve to know that.

Tik tok is the destroyer of brain cells. Which normally I'm okay with, but it's a bridge too far even for me.

they want the aesthetic of old internet with the audience of modern. if they actually were interested in old web theyd have made their own websites or blogs by now

Definitely a "modern internet problem", which tiktok is a huge part of obviously. And yeah I agree. I don't really use spacehey super frequently but even I notice. Not just here, in general. (Neocities and other spaces similar to it). I'm all for people diving into the old web, but we don't need mainstream social media behavior. If I wanna see a shitshow and rude people, I open youtube or something lol

Weirdly, some of the Gen Z people have a kind of fetish for the early 2000s stuff, which the topic they are fetishising about changing very rapidly.
It's OK to use early 2000 stuff but, this kind of sticking with 1990s-2000s aesthetic is incredibly awkward and they following it religiously for some reason. I mean, they could use stuff from it but, why making it your whole online life?
And sadly, SpaceHey is filled with those people.

I used Myspace only to connect with my bbz. i remember making one of them number 1# if they would give me stuff i wanted, XD. And it was a place where people would release their music it was cool. I don't think they are going to "ruin" this place (truly hope not), but I do see a lot of people arguing on here which gets kind of confusing. I don't know why they're arguing here and not on Tiktok or discord. Discord is so bad I never liked it, lolz.

There’s drama everywhere real life and social media honestly it was never that serious

I see where you're coming from, and it is a topic i get anxious about, but i don't think its a TikTok problem. Its more of a modern internet problem. Drama and ragebait is in high demand no matter where TF you go.
The good news is, like what other people have said, is that this site doesn't focus on content and popularity. its practically more of a public diary and message board. The people who migrate here from other sites like TikTok, Reddit, or whatever will very quickly notice that SpaceHey doesn't run the way other modern sites do. Theres no popularity, content creation/consumption, etc. People aren't on here to get noticed and reacted to, they are here to express themselves.
I'm sure some hormonal teenagers will show up every now and then and try to crash the party, but i have a decent amount of hope that it won't tear down this platform in any MAJOR way. But what do i know, i'm not a f**king fortune teller.

they certainly have the potential, but sooner or later they'll get that this place really isn't for that. you don't get "spacehey famous". the only guy who can ever say that is Tom from MySpace, but that's only because he was the first guy everyone knew on the platform and that became his name. he isn't Tom, he's Tom from MySpace.
look, these kids are more or less looking for the same thing we are - an actually good social media website that lets us connect with friends and show our personality online. this website excels at that, but it severely lacks in what makes every other social media site both profitable and popular - content. TikTok is a content platform the same way instagram, Twitter, and youtube are. it's all about the dopamine and only the kids who really like this platform are gonna stick around and those are the guys we would want anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

drama and internet go hand in hand since its inception

Are you actually saying Myspace was not full of drama and threats? Bro myspace was filled with cyberbullying, drama, and cruelty

as a TikTok user myself, I don't think that EVERY single TikTok user would ruin HeySpace Neccisarily. However, I do see your point with TikTok users being dramatic. And I especially have a mixed opinion on what you said about TikTok being split.
Now, I only recently joined HeySpace, so this may not mean much coming from me but I do believe that if we do manage to have users from the bad side of TikTok join HeySpace, it might not be good. Aside from being split, can also be biased for whatever reason. I don't know why, they just are (And it's mainly either Gen Z or Millenials that are the biased ones, and that's saying something coming from a Gen Z myself.) And also, there can sometimes be misinformation. However, given the circumstances of someone who also uses TikTok, I do have to say that TikTok, there might be some users who will, instead of ticking off all the red flags you had just listed, might come here to just have a browse, post TikToks (if that's aloud here.), and do what you normally do on HeySpace.
However, I will say, that no matter what platform you go on, there will always be people who will have different opinions and that is not a bad thing, in-fact that's not the issue. The real issue is the different generations.
Strongly agree.

should we gatekeep this website just saying
Gatekeeping is useless

That’s not a good idea, having a larger user base is better for the site, it needs more active users.

A few people is not gonna ruin the app lmao
what they're trying to say is that tiktok emphasises categorisation, cancel culture and convention, and its users love that, they're unintentionally drawn to it -spacehey is supposed to just be a safe and chill space for people to get away from that

That’s the thing, it won’t always and probably never will be like that. It’s just not possible. No matter how many mods or reports or callout posts those kinds of people will always make their way in. This isn’t some sort of secret club, it’s a public platform. Yeah it doesn’t have the popularity of other apps and we don’t have as many “incidents” but that won’t stop them. I’m tired of people acting like they can truly cleanse a community like sorry that’s very unrealistic! And I’m also tired of people putting the blame on solely TikTok users like if all of them are like that or will even stay long enough to cause real damage. Learn to block and move on, don’t let randoms ruin your online experience.

sorry for the late answer but that was explained really well i understand that and i think it's probably the best point anyone has made to do with this stuff it's just good to let people have their say because the fact it won't stay the way it used to frustrates me a little too

like ngl, modern internet just want to censor every word because i'm pretty sure old internet just say whatever they want even. I mean it's good thing but calling someone out for saying some words is sooo over dramatic
not too mention that they be categorizing everything and I MEAN it. I know people have their own culture but to categories even the smallest stuff and fought about it is soo stupid
