The Thing 1982

Although it was negatively reviewed by most critics, you can see why it became a cult classic but I think it is one of, if not the best, horror movies ever made 

When I watch most horror movies, it if hard to like the cast. You become attached to the crew very quickly. MacReady has one of the best opening scenes with him playing chess with his computer, and after the computer makes an impossible move, he pours his drink into it. I love him, he is extremely pragmatic and determined and that's what later allows him to figure out what to do and doesn't hesitate to torch The Thing when it appears.

also I just love seeing them all together there funny and tragic  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
