there's something timeless about old songs and jazz. the warmth, the scratch of vinyl, the way melodies hug you. when i listen, i get this sense of stepping into a place where the past and present meet, where everything slows down, and suddenly aware of how much you miss something you never even lived through. these are the songs that feel like home, even when you've never lived in their time.
REMINDER:
I SUGGEST YOU PUT ON YOUR EARPHONES AND FEEL THE RHYTHM OF EACH SONGS AS YOU READ ABOUT HOW THESE SONGS MAKE ME FEEL EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THEM. TRUST ME, THE MUSIC HITS DIFFERENTLY WHEN YOU REALLY LET YOURSELF GET LOST IN IT.
FEEL THE WARMTH OF NOSTALGIA AND LET YOUR MIND DAYDREAM ABOUT YOUR FUTURE
JAZZ
WE THREE - CORY WEEDS
this is one of my favorite jazz songs. i recommend playing it while you shower it feels like sipping hot chocolate coffee in the morning, staring out the window at a snow covered neighborhood. it's the kind of song that makes you wanna dance, slow and carefree.
SOMEWHERE SOMETIME - OAKWOOD STATION
it's that warm, magical feeling of cooking in your kitchen at 8pm, the soft orange dim light in a cozy glow as you sway your body along with the melodies. meanwhile, your other half watches, smiling, amused by the things you're doing.
NANCY - JOHN COLTRANE QUARTET
it's the kind of song that makes you feel calm. even better when you're doing something simple, like sweping the floor, waiting for a cookie to warm up in the oven, casually scrolling through pinterest, rain tapping softly on the window.
ANGEL EYES - DR SAXLOVE
makes you feel like a 1950s detective wearing a long trench coat, fedora low over your eyes, cigarette burning slow as you stand in a dim alley. the alley's cold, silent, except for jazz drifting from a bar down the block. the city sleeps, but you're wide awake, chasing ghosts at night.
I FALL IN LOVE TOO EASILY - CHET BAKER
one of my favorites too, it feels like you've just finished a long day of work, and now you're sitting alone in a quiet bar, sipping wine as jazz plays in the background. the world outside is hushed by the rain, the cold air greets you gently. everything feels like a scene from an old film.
OLDIES
EVERYBODY LOVES SOMEBODY - FRANK SINATRA
the night of christmas, everything is bright with lights, laughter filling the air, and old christmas songs playing. the snow falls gently, coating everything in white. as a child, all you do is sip hot chocolate with marshmallows, feeling the warmth and joy in the simplest moment.
MY WAY - FRANK SINATRA
feels like you're sitting by a window on a late train ride, proud of everything you've done even the mistakes, the victories, the wrong choices. it feels like a quiet goodbye to a chapter you lived fully. a farewell to everything you once were, with no regrets.
ALL OF A SUDDEN - MATT MONRO
it's 1am and you're still awake, lying on the roof with this song playing. the sky's dark, everything's quiet, and you're stuck in your thoughts about your life, your past, what might happen in the future. it's that kind of song that makes you stop and feel everything at once.
MISTY - ELLA FITZGERALD
small, coffee shop, old songs playing in the background. you're sitting by the window, sipping your hot drink, and across from you is your first love smiling, laughing, maybe talking about something silly. time feels like it's standing still.
VIENNA - BILLY JOEL
when your mind thinking about the future, all the things you want to do, the places you'll go, and the person you hope to become. daydreaming again, picturing the life you've always wanted, the big moments, mix of hope and excitement, and you can't just wait.
I'D REALLY LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS LEAVE A LITTLE NOTE AND TELL ME HOW THESE SONGS MADE YOU FEEL

I'm making my way through the jazz songs atm, but I just wanted to say I love Misty so much. Maybe it's just Fitzgerald's voice, but it makes me think of December: warm and homely, but undercut with a hint of bittersweet pining. So a coffee shop 100% fits those vibes.
Thanks for the songs! :)
i love you! hope you're having a great day
