I genuinely cannot like the trendy songs, and music in general of todays age :/ Something is always off idk how to explain

I was gonna say it depends on the artists you listen to, but I mostly listen to artists from every decade except 2020s lol
I do follow a few banda, obviouly, but I always prefer the old style they had.
I feel since social media is so big, artists aré becoming more comercial...

its because of how popular TikTok songs became, as for edits or phonk I mean. there is a lot of good music too nowadays, people just don't care about those anymore sadly...

I think there's still lots of good music around, some people just don't appreciate it anymore unfortunately which is why it's so hard to find it since it doesn't get the numbers it deserves.

This is mainly a mainstream music thing I fear. Theres tons of underground artists and even artists with some recognition who make good stuff. Sucks you have to dig a lil deeper to find it.

honestly i feel like the music industry is only pushing music they deem profitable, "corporate friendly" type of songs, things you'd hear in stores. music has honestly become less of an art form and more of a full on profitable industry, which SUCKS because more emotional or even just more "hardcore" artists dont get the attention they deserve, not to deny that they still exist, but because of the state of the industry they dont get as much attention as they should

i mean i just dont think you're looking deep enough. i had this exact thought before, but now i've found bands that resonate with me, and some even better than the legacy 80s bands that im so in love with. for example, the speed metal band hellcrash. they've been releasing albums since 2021, and i love them more than so many of the 80s bands i love. 🤘🤘🤘
