Character Design Process

Hi everyone! This is my very first blog post! It was originally a bulletin, but since bulletins disappear after a while, I wanted to make it permanent! I'm not gonna include the finished design in here because that'll be a separate blog post.

I made a new character for myself and this is how the design process went: 

I don’t have a name for her yet but she’s based off of this plushie dreadful, Love Rabbit

This is an icon I made of her to map out where I wanted the colors in the hair:

And a sketch I made of the design to see how the outfit I chose looks on her (all things I own except the shirt):

And finally, the physical outfit irl (the jacket is reversible!):
