Concepts for a nonexistent project

Almost a year ago now, I had this weird idea to just kinda start drawing a weapon and see where it went. My goal was the come up with something cool that sounded fun with a slight focus on things like balance and interchangeable side abilities tied to the weapons a lot like Doom's weapon mods.

My first few sketches were NOT great but i definitely started to flesh things out. I figured that, to make things more organized, I should have each weapon have a slot, type, and manufacturer. As for the third criteria, I needed some sort of reason for these weapons to exist. Wearing my inspirations a bit on my shoulder, I settled on the idea of a borderlands-esque corporate war over Hell itself and the things it holds. I also have the idea of Hell itself feeding this war by creating weaponry for use in it. I have a few of the groups involved slightly panned out like the H.A.D.S. (Hell Arms and Defense Squad) and the H.D.I.C. (Hellish Divinity and Integration Cult), though I have a few more in mind and WAYYY more to fully flesh out.

So, looking at these before I post them, there is a definite lack of visual cohesion between the layouts of each of these concepts, even as second versions. I will say that the Retributioner, while being the first to be conceptualized, is the most recent recreation and I plan to use that layout in future concepts as well as future redo's of the others.

In terms of the weapons themselves, I again wore some of my inspirations on my shoulder, biggest one being the Hotshot. it functions a lot like a mix between the Doom 2016 combat shotgun and the ULTRAKILL shotgun. I think both of those weapons are some of the best aggressive shotgun concepts I've seen and thought mixing them would be interesting. Others, like Stitches, were born out of concept before the art With Stitches specifically, I wanted to make a Hell weapon that you couldn't mistake for anything but Hell. I was also playing a lot of Black Ops 3 Zombies and I think I was a little inspired by the design of the Apothicon Servant.
