This blog is a collection of everything related to Japanese tech from 90s-2000s.
Still a work in progress ^_^
1. UKAGAKA / GHOSTS
Ukagaka ghosts are desktop mascots that appear on your screen and say things to you. They remind you to check our emails and such things. They originated in the early Japanese otaku culture in the 2000s.
Digital Witch Mayura is one of the most well-known ghosts.
You can read more about how to add them on your computer or just find information on these websites:

DENPA (電波)
Denpa culture emerged in Japan in the 90s. It's a literary genre that characterizes themes such as dissociation, derealization, delusion, social isolation and suicide. Denpa means literally "electromagnetic wave", and in this context is more used as a word for someone who feels like they're receiving radio signals.
Denpa became especially popular due to the growing public talk of mental health issues, and the 1995 Tokyo subway sarin attack perpetrated by the Aum Shinrikyo cult. Many of the members believed they were hearing divine voices, which was portrayed in media as them receiving electromagnetic waves or living in their own delusions.
EARLY DENPA VISUAL NOVELS:
Tsui no Sora (1999)

Now hold up there. No need to sell yourself short on this. I think you do know, amigo.
I'll bet with a bit of extra effort you could expand on this. It's already impressive but it seems like you're on the precipice of something great.
