Today is MMIW day (missing and murdered indigenous women) and to me this is super important. I know it may not seem like a big issue to you but to me it is, I’ve lost multiple relatives and friends due to this and the government seems to not pay much attention to us… I just wanted to spread awareness since its a topic thats not talked about much like.. at ALL.

Facts about MMIW:

- Half of the women aren’t even women, a lot of them are girls under the age of 18

- Most of the people doing this aren’t Native men. In fact, most of them are non-native men.

- Reports have shown that there is a direct connection between the men working in the fracking industry and high rates of violence against MMIW
