ALICE MADNESS RETURNS

(I've never played it actually but i love this game so here's some interesting facts about it)

1. It’s Actually a Sequel (kinda)

Madness Returns is not a standalone game, it’s actually the second in the series. The first one is called American McGee’s Alice (2000) and it’s even darker imo. Alice has short hair in that one and the graphics are so janky. (IDK how2 download any of these games btw lol)

2. The Game Is About Trauma, Not Just Aesthetic

Sure, the game looks gorgeous, but it also has a deep story. Alice is dealing with grief, PTSD, and mental illness, and the Wonderland you explore is literally her mind breaking apart.

3. There Are Teeth Everywhere. Like, Literally.

Your main "currency" is teeth. Not coins, not gems. TEETH. I googled and found out a theory is that the Teeth are symbolic of Alice's mental health.(Fandom)

4. Fran Bow Was Inspired by Madness Returns!

The dev of Fran Bow said in interviews that Alice: Madness Returns was a huge inspo — especially the whole “creepy mental health + fantasy world” vibe.
