Starting a new animated project!!! ~ Slowblink part 1

Hi guys!!! I've decided to make a new animated project!! This will be an animated music video to the song Slowblink by jam2go! I asked permission to use it dw guys :P

I first discovered this song from jam2go's video on the history of cat memes (found here), with the Momo version playing at the end, and it somehow managed to make me cry. The song really connected to me as someone who likes to hoard things as a means to remember the past, despite all the painful memories that come with them. Having to move recently made me realise just how much STUFF I own that honestly doesn't serve a purpose except for sentimental value. 

So yeah I started working on this project the other day!!!

I finally started to wrap my head around nodes in DaVinci Rasolve. It was quite the learning curve and i still have a lot to figure out raahaha

This process has made me realise just how similar 2d and 3d art is in a way.... like they're not that different... idk if its just my illness i have atm but my whole sense of reality is crazy rn im starting to see 2d in 3d space aaaaaaaahhh

This whole project is really close to my heart. I'm experimenting a lot with it too, as seen with the nodes. I'm mixing real life footage and 2d together for this, with everything used being a video or image i took of something i own.

its crazy im actually feeling motivated to make this!!! like i will actually finish it!! RAHHHHH

It's so refreshing to animate something that isnt httyd related, and has a simple character design, and that i want to actually make!!! hell yeah!!!!!

I hope you stick around to watch me put this together cuz i really wanna make this something special!!! I will update as regularly as i can!!

I do have exams for the next month which may hinder the process tho, but i hope working on this acts as a stress relief for me in these times because i sure will need it hahah
