People will complain about cost of living but still have a steady income, a roof over their heads, a warm bed, and food in their refrigerators, as well as somehow still having the money to go out, buy toys, video games, alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, and door dash food every day.
Meanwhile, there's people who don't have any of that to even risk losing. People who have been gatekept from acquiring even the most basic of accomodations needed to not die. People who don't have a roof over their head or daily clean drinking water. The ones who have no family or friends to lean on when something goes wrong. The ones who dont have an income to buy basic amenities, nonetheless, be able to "panick buy" and "bulk buy" to prepare for an economic crisis. The people who have received little-to-no empathy from the communities they live in.
I think we should remember those people when we're bitching about prices going up.
