Why is art so important for us?
It is what makes us "human"
it's not because we can make mistakes, A.I can also make mistakes
it's not just because we are flesh, pigs and other animals are also made of flesh
it's not just because we are alive, trees and plants are also alive
We are "we" because of our ability to think, imagine, feel and most importantly
create art.
sure you can train an elephant to draw and you might also say that other animals such as Bowerbirds, build decorative nests with colorful objects.
but the diffrence is they did it to impress Female mates xd
elephants did it for the rewards
and some animals do it to camouflage themself.
But we did it to express, to tell a story, to leave something behind after we die.
we did it from our imaginations and sometimes from the deepest part of our hearts
we're the only creature in this planet to create something artistic..
purely because we chose to.
and we can never let A.I take that away from us
