I have been blessed by the thrift gods!! (Good Omens, TV)

So, I was out running some errands at a local strip mall for my family, getting meat from the grocery store, handsoap & dish soap from the dollar tree etc.

Now, I'm a major DVD and CD person so I decided to pop into the Good Will because its a great place to get good films and albums for cheep. So I'm walk in, liquid death in hand (Stuffs good BTW), and start looking through the physical media shelves. I ended up getting Twilight on DVD btw. As I'm back there I decided to look through the books too.

One of my all time favorite books is Good Omens, a comedy about the end of the world, where the Antichrist is missing and an excentric angle (Aziraphale) and not-so-evil demon (Crowley) try and find him before he ends the world because they really like humanity. My copy is honestly super warn out. It's so bad I had to re-bind it myself. But the book has existed since the 90's, and has quite a few hard cover copies but I'm stingy and won't pay more than 10 bucks for a copy, so every time I go thrifting a skim through the books hoping I can find a copy. People get rid of things all the time witout knowing that said thing has a cult following with fans who would kill for something better than a paperback. Maybe some grandma picked it up, relised it wasn't a serious religous book and donated it, or an ex-Neil Gamin fan purged their collection after the aligations came out, you never know.

So after about five minuites of skimming the books, unable to find a copy I head up to the regester with twilight. I spot a PC copy of the sims 2 in the tall glass case, but quickly relaised it was just an expansion and not the whole game, so I get in line. I'm standing there, twiddling my thumbs and such, and I look down into the smaller case, and what do I see?

David Tennant's little face with Crowley's stupid sunglasses on.

Good Omens was adapated into a TV show in 2019 by the BBC and Amazon, notibly starring David Tennant as Crowley and Michael Sheen as Aziraphale. I love s1 of the TV show, I think it is a great book to screen adaptation.

I've been meaing to get my hands on the TV companion for a while now, because I'm a nerd and a book full of all of that behind the scenes, costume and set design stuff is super intresting to me (Also its just a pretty looking book, go look up the full cover. I wish they made posters with that graphic.) But because of everything with Good Omens co-author, and the shows writer Neil Gamin, I held off on buying it because I don't to put money into the pockest of a man like that.

But there the TV compainion was. Sitting right infront of me, with a little $5 sticker slaped on it.

FIVE DOLLARS.

Its roughly $30 to buy it new.

I think I may have litterly been shakeing with excitment in the store. I was over the moon excited.

Anyway, I bought it and now it's sat next to my bed on my end table XD

Keep thrifting yall. You will find the items of your dreams eventuallty, trust me!!!

Thats all! Ciao
