It's been a year.
It's been a year and my damn 2ds is STILL BROKEN
context: my friend hacked it for me last year, 2 months later it stopped turning on. I tried like everything I could do to get it working again, but nothing js seemed to work. Even asked Reddit many different times and I didn’t get much help
Idk how many of y’all are good at this techy stuff, but I REALLY wanna finish my ultra sun save and play rhythm heaven mega mix again. I have a working 3ds, but the R button doesn’t work (so I can’t play Luigi’s mansion 2…) and I can’t sign into the E shop because it’s connected to my 2ds (which… idek if it matters any more since the servers went offline)
According to Reddit, it’s not bricked. But the Reddit was also a 3ds hacking Reddit instead of 2ds so idk.
Here’s what I did to try to make it turn on (a thing to note is that when I take out the SD card, the blue light turns on then instantly off):
-replace battery (before, the blue light would turn on then instantly off with the old battery)
- check ribbon cables
-L + R + A + UP + POWER
-holding power
-smacking it (this apparently worked for some people..)
IM SO DESPERATE HELP PLEEAASEEE

i havnt modded mine but i had a problem where my 2dsxl didnt turn on for nuthing so i gave up on it, then over a year later i forgot it wasnt turning on and went to use it and it worked, and its still working. so wierd O.o
modding the 2ds shold be pretty much exacly the same as the 3ds, its the same hardware so i dont think sumthing was messed up in the modding process of urs just based on that
I still dunno how to get it working tho
