Um, I'm confused about this thing going on around teenage LGBT spaces, so uh... reminder that being trans and being a femboy are two different things.
You can be a trans femboy but that would make you a trans man who dresses and acts feminine, not a trans woman who does feminine things. The latter is just... a normal gender-role conforming girl and there's nothing wrong with that but there is no "boy" to speak of. There's no use for the "femboy" label when talking about a trans girl because they're intentionally not being a boy and to call a woman a femboy, would just be misgendering.
I'm friends with a lot of trans girlies and a lot of them would rather not be called a femboy, because they're not boys. Most of them in fact want to distance themselves from such labels. And to just assume every man who dresses feminine or likes feminine things is trying to be a woman in the first place is kinda... sexist.
It's basically forcing conformity to gender roles upon those who intentionally or unintentionally break them solely to fit them in a box where their interests "make sense" when people should be free to identify as any gender without being constrained by their style or interests.
All in all, if someone says they're a femboy, he's a boy. If someone says they're a trans girl, they are not a boy.

as a femboy, THANK YOUUU !!!!<33 im a ftm, and some of my friends are mtf, so i get the question "why didnt you just stay a girl?" A LOT and my friends always get the "so youre a femboy?" question A LOT . . ITS SO INFURIATINGG !!! trans women are women, not men expressing femininity !! men expressing femininity are still men !! its not about what they are wearing but how they want to identify themselves !!!

As a trans and feminine boy, what femboy is just a term for BOYS who dress in a feminine way, so I can be a man and wear gothic dresses, I'm a femboy, and sometimes it doesn't even have to be a skirt, dress, etc., they distort what a femboy is
And yes! Trans girls aren't femboys, in fact, it's even biased to say that! I'm a trans person and I see people saying that makes me disgusted! There are even people from the LGBT community themselves saying that.
Yeah! I always get so bewildered hearing people call trans women femboys, like I used to be very insecure about my femininity and people saying "you act like a boy lol" even in passing made me a bit uncomfy. And while I'm already more comfortable in my skin, I am cis. Imagine how a trans woman still transitioning would feel :(
