being a teenager in 2025 is hell

every time i hear the words “recession” or “economy” or “housing” or “college” a chill goes all the way down to my asscrack. nowadays unless you’re a genius or extremely athletically gifted you have a comically low chance of succeeding. or at least that’s what it seems like. the craziest part is that if i learned the world was ending tomorrow, i wouldn’t know why. imagine trying to explain to someone 200 years ago that four people combined are richer than like 60% of the population combined?? ill be lucky if im able to afford groceries.
