"old man yaoi" and then theyre like 30 + pokemon fangame rant

i thought of the title just now but its realer than anything ive ever thought of in my life. anyways

today was really boring. supa boring. we played soem games in my math class, i watched a movie in culinary (i was watching clueless on my laptop :3 cher is so real honestly), did some notes in biology, and then played a pokemon fangame that i forgot i had downloaded. solar light and lunar dark!!

i LOVE how unique their fakemon dex is. i havent gotten my first badge yet, but so far i think its really cute. i hope my favorite characters dont get traumatized in any way!! (hopefully not foreshadowing) i just hate the lack of wasd controls :( my arrow keys are TINYYY ;C

speaking of pokemon fangames, i downloaded pokemon clover, and i thought it was pretty okay in terms of the actual gameplay. i got a little bugged out at the thought of the game being made my 4chan incels, and then i just sighed and turned off the game when i found out there was a racist stereotype as a pokemon. gross!! i really dont know what i was expecting though. the dialogue was sometimes funny. other than that, it was just random cursing and "fuck you, player!!", it was really edgy for no reason.

ive talked about pokemon uranium a few times on this blog, and i really want to go into depth about it here. its one of those games i expected to also be edgy and dumb, considering the source material. i saw pointcrow play it about a year back and decided to give it a try. i got really far into my first run, but recently i decided to start from the beginning. the characters are likable when they need to be, it has really funny humor at times, but it can also be really serious and upsetting at others. its not the type of game that makes fun of nuclear accidents nor the victims or survivors of it. its not meant to be an educational type game either, it just a game set with that type of plot.

the fakemon are really stylized and cool, and the pacing/story is really well put together. theres just enough events that happen (which i wont be spoiling, play the game urself, silly ;3 ) throughout the game that it keeps you on your toes. if any of you want to download the game, it might be a little harder to download it than when i did. it had a pretty nasty encounter with nintendo, so they had to discontinue it to avoid a lawsuit. you can find the download on reddit, i think? some of the links that people sent back when the game was no longer updating no longer work, so try your best til you get it. 

next up on my "to-play" list is probably pokemon insurgence. ive tried playing it before, but i think i got softlocked in the beginning area and decided it wasnt for me. ill be sure to try it again though!! :3

(also side note my laptop is close to FUCKED cuz tell my why my taskbar is just.. not working. the time and everything else like completely froze up. hmmm hopefully this doesnt become worse in the future!!)
