Is this truly a customizable platform?

The freedom to customize your profile was one of the biggest selling points of MySpace back in the day. And I totally understand the need for safety and security. But to completely block a basic bit of code that embeds a video directly from YouTube seems a bit overboard for me. Eventually I was able to allow extensions on my browser on the laptop. But even on Chrome on my phone it is blocked with no option for it to be allowed. Not really worth the trouble for my supporters so I have removed all the vlog related blog posts from my profile.

I was never really into music backgrounds but I guess that blocked too? I used to use all these cute GIF emojis on my MySpace profile think like the old forums and DeviantArt style. Of course I would have to store those externally. I haven't even tried yet but would those work? Like I say part of the uniqueness of MySpace was the customization and working the CSS code to make it like you want. Security is good but the more restrictions in place than how unique really is it from other platforms?

I'm still not really sure where I want to take this whole SpaceHey thing in respect to my brand as a whole. I still think it can serve as a nice ad free platform to blog from. Doesn't seem to be really making much affect getting traffic to my YouTube channel and vis versa. Haven't been able to get much of my Facebook friends to try this yet. But in due time perhaps. :-)
