I'm not a writer or anything, but I always like to write for my role-playing games (dnd master here), but what I always do is write down everything BUT EVERYTHING that comes to mind, even if it doesn't make sense, even if it's a word salad. That way you keep the ideas written down just in case (and for ideas or inspiration, I always base myself on some series, anime, video game, movie that I like and steal the ideas from it, so don't be afraid to steal ideas, characters or scenarios)
i love doing that too! (the stealing ideas part too, although when i first started writing i veered a little too much on the plagiarism side). i definitely just add it to the end of the story until i can add it into the chronological order. it helped clear up some of the scenes that i wanted to write but the story wasn't fit for yet!

ex-writer here! i used to love writing fanfic.
AHEM I HAVE TIPS!
what i like to do whenever im writing is add details that only you would know. they could be tv show references or things that you like personally. its your writing, and no one can change it! i also sort of recommend you add details that you like. describe items or people by their features, details, and even charm. you could even write things that dont make sense! have fun with writing!
thank you!! i managed to find a TON of motivation after reading these comments, and this definitely helped me :)
