fellow scene kids, i need advice!!!1!1!!!! 😿

hi! so, i dress scene. ive been dressing scene for A LOOOOONG time! but recently ive started to notice im starting to just wear bum clothes !ol. as in sweatpants and shirts over my jeans and skirts and loads of accesories. im growing out short hair (a pixie cut i guess but more shaggy with layers n stuff) and it looks kind of awkward rn. ;w; i dont feel fully confident enough to be dressing scene becauase of my hair. and i was wondering, is that valid??? once it gets longer i'll go back to dressing scene, but is that ok? ik u dont have to dress alt 24/7 to BE alt, but i still feel like im almost abandoning the style, even tho i will come back to it once im more confident. i dont think its a probelm, i just need advice!! T_T

as a person who also dresses in an alternative style (lolita fashion), i totally get your fears of feeling like you're straying away from the style just from not wearing it. it's totally okay to not wear the style when you don't feel like it. i mean, i can't wear my dresses during the summer, but that doesn't make me as less of a lolita then anyone else. take your time to be comfy until you can come back to dressing scene again. i know the community's nice enough to not get angry over something like this.

yeah, of course it's not a problem T ,T one of the largest parts of scene is the music, and while the fashion does play a huge part in it, youre not any less scene if you're just taking a break from dressing up due to confidence :3 but also, im sure your hair looks great T. T

I'm not rlly as experienced in scene, but I think its tote fine if u dont dress ALT 24/7! U can dress however u want 2 ^^
