STOP MISSING THE POINT OF DANGER DAYS!!

Pet peeve of mine is when people say stuff along the lines of "Danger Days is so cool. I wish we were ruled by an evil corporation so I could live in a diner with my friends and have cool jackets". Nothing wrong with most of that (same tbh) but wdym... "if"?

 The US is basically just fascist at this point. Tf is Tesla involved in government for. And are you telling me the whole Luigi Mangione thing doesn't sound like something straight out of Killjoys National Anthem??? And even in the UK trans rights are under attack and we now essentially have a law for the sole purpose of undermining self expression. The centre/left party we have here is sliding further right to everyone's detriment and we are losing the only viable option. And it seems to be a global issue (or at the very least from what I can see it's common in the West) that anti intellectualist propaganda is on the rise again. 

Yes the album is about a cool story and about love and friendship and being a fabulous motherfucker. But it is also strongly anti-war, anti-capitalist, and anti mindless conformity.And while there are elements that are just fantasy, MCR didn't set the story in 2070 or some distant alternate universe with no similarity to our own. Not that you need an excuse to dress cool and enjoy a healthy dose of rebellion but folks. Good news. You have one. 

Not to get preachy about it but if you want to live like that IMO the most Fabulous Killjoy thing you can do is anything. Pick litter, DIY and upcycle, refuse to use AI for stuff you could easily do yourself, be creative, make zines, sign petitions, start clubs !! It's better than nothing and while it won't change the system, we can't let the system change us. Sorry for ranting.
