Going to Istanbul tomorrow :D

my mom saw in my uncles whatsapp status that he met my grandpa in istandbul without telling her so now i had to book a flight tomorrow to meet my grandpa for the first time (she hasnt seen him in 29 years). this will be the futhest ive ever been from home (cologne, germany).  The flight is tomorrow at 7:55am and my gf whos coming with us has work untill 2am so its gonna be pretty stressed. my grandma told me theres earthquakes atm so im kinda nervous. My grandpa speaks russian only and i speak extremely limited russian so idk if its gonna be weird (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
