I have recently submitted my Masters by Research in the degree Digital Arts. Yippee! :'D My research topic is:
Creating Diversity in Representation for Southern Africans in Character Design in Digital Art: A Case of How to Draw Guides
To give a brief intro to what it's about:
I found that there is a current knowledge and representation gap in drawing African people in character designs. Established Human form drawing guides contribute to this knowledge gap because they lack diversity in their depictions of human forms.
I really love the knowledge I found, made and discovered. Getting my MA (hopefully since it's still being marked, but I know I passed! I believe it!) was a goal for my soul. And being able to do it was a blessing. I hope to find people to talk about it with more too, I will carry it through everything I do in my life, so of course it will be a big talking point any day.
And at the moment, I am currently trying to build/improve my portfolio to be have the confidence to apply for jobs. I am taking my time right now though, trying not to pressure myself as I JUST finished the most intensive mammoth task of my life. It's hard to stay motivated but I try to remember to keep pushing so I can get to the place I want to be. :)
That's all for right now. I'll update this depending on what else I'd like to share. I also want to not go too overboard with sharing myself because I get the urge to document and showcase every facet of my existence since I was born, but it wouldn't be truly complete, and then I'd feel bad for leaving things out! X( So for now, it's going to be this simple thing :D
I'll prolly make more blogs about my art progress, I hope to be successful in that too, or at least to be progressing well on it. >:'(
