Comic concept [28/04/2025]

ENTRY #1

 For a while know I've been really on and off with my art scheduling, especially when posting online (insta). It's been very demotivating and none of my art is making me fulfilled, or proud as I used to be when I posted consistently. Maybe I'm just burnt out. So a way to battle this is to think of a serious concept for a comic, since I'm currently studying in a comic and concept art course in uni means I'm already provided with a lot of knowledge around the whole process. Not only that I feel like it's the next step for me in the 'art journey' SOOO I'm going to be documenting the process (hopefully) consistently on here, so this is the first entry.

 Here is the first sketch of a miscellaneous character which I'm already thinking of as a main figure within the story. In my brain, the story is currently basing itself around some nuclear post apocalyptic futurist vibe. However I don't want it to be too far into the future of now, I want it to be realistic and fair more mellow in its vibe. Kind of Last of us vibes without the presence of zombies or monsters*. However, since this is fiction I will most likely not place myself into that box as of now. I do still possibly want some unique creatures as you can see in the first image, I have a labelled weird thing called a 'jellie' I still don't know the relevance but I want them to be harmless and a possible companion towards the character here. To me they're equivalent to the 'kodamas' in 'Princess Mononoke'
